Dubai visa for UK residents, filed for you from start to finish. What you need depends on your passport and your UK status. British citizens get a free visa on arrival, but most non-British UK residents — Skilled Worker visa holders, international students, spouse visa holders, refugees and many Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) holders — need a pre-arranged UAE tourist visa before boarding.
Whether you are flying to Dubai for a holiday, visiting family, attending an expo, or travelling on to Abu Dhabi, GoSchengen confirms the right visa for you, checks your passport, photo, UK status and travel bookings, and files your Dubai tourist visa through the official UAE channels — so you board with the correct visa and no surprises at the airport.
UAE entry rules start with the nationality on your passport. For some nationalities, a valid UK residence permit or visa can also unlock a visa on arrival — but most non-British UK residents still need to apply before they fly.
Full British passport holders get a free visit visa on arrival in the UAE, valid for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. No application is needed before travel.
If you hold a Pakistani, Nigerian, Bangladeshi, Turkish or other third-country passport while living in the UK, you normally need a pre-arranged UAE tourist visa before departing the UK — even with ILR.
Indian nationals with a valid UK visa or residence permit have qualified for a 14-day visa on arrival, but the UAE announced in July 2026 that UK documents will be removed from this route. From June 2026, nationals of Indonesia, Kenya, the Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam with a qualifying permit can get a visa on arrival. Rules are moving fast — a pre-arranged visa avoids boarding problems.
| Your Passport | UK Status | What You Need | Stay Allowed |

| Indonesian, Kenyan, Filipino, South African, Thai, Vietnamese | Valid UK residence permit or visa | Visa on arrival may apply — we confirm before you fly | 14 or 60 days |
| Pakistani, Nigerian, Bangladeshi & most others | Any (including ILR) | Pre-arranged UAE tourist visa | 30 or 60 days |
No. Holding a UK Biometric Residence Permit (BRP), a UK eVisa or ILR does not give you free entry to Dubai. Non-British passport holders pay the standard UAE government fee for a pre-arranged tourist visa, unless their nationality qualifies for a visa on arrival.
Carrying proof of your UK status: BRP cards have been replaced by digital UK eVisas, so many residents no longer have a physical card to show. Airlines can ask for proof of your UK status when you board or return. We tell you exactly what to carry — such as a printout of your UKVI status page — so you are not held up at check-in.
UAE tourist visas are issued by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP). We pick the visa that matches your trip.
Best for: Short holidays, leisure stays and quick family visits.
Validity: Usually valid for entry within 60 days of issue, with a stay of up to 30 days. Can typically be extended once inside the UAE.
Best for: Longer holidays, family reunions and touring several emirates.
Validity: A stay of up to 60 days in the UAE, single or multiple entry.
Best for: UK residents who visit Dubai several times a year.
Validity: 5 years, multiple entry, up to 90 days per stay. Needs proof of funds and is approved at the authorities' discretion.
Urgent travel? We file the same day you send complete documents. There is no official "express" tier at GDRFA or ICP, so we never promise a fixed approval time — but complete, correct files are typically decided much faster.
Here is what the UAE government charges and how long each visa usually takes. Our service fee is quoted separately and confirmed before you pay.
| Visa Category | Stay Duration | Official Fee (approx.) | Typical Processing | Submission Channel |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30-Day Tourist Visa | Up to 30 days | AED 300–350 (≈ £60–£70) | 24–72 hours | GDRFA / ICP online |
| 60-Day Tourist Visa | Up to 60 days | AED 500–600 (≈ £100–£120) | 24–72 hours | GDRFA / ICP online |
| 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visa | Up to 90 days per stay | From around AED 1,000 (≈ £200) | Several working days | GDRFA / ICP online |
| Visa on Arrival (British citizens) | Up to 90 days in 180 | Free | On arrival | UAE airport |
Government fees are set by the UAE authorities, can change without notice and are usually non-refundable. GBP amounts are approximate. Overstaying a visit visa is fined per day, so check your exit date carefully.

British citizens do not need to apply in advance — they get a free visa on arrival for up to 90 days within 180 days. Most non-British UK residents, including BRP or UK eVisa holders and many ILR holders, need a pre-arranged UAE tourist visa before travelling.
No. A UK BRP, UK eVisa or ILR does not give free entry. Non-British passport holders pay the UAE government visa fee, unless their nationality qualifies for a visa on arrival through a valid UK permit.
Yes, but Pakistani passport holders need a pre-arranged UAE tourist visa — living in the UK does not give a visa on arrival. A complete, accurate file is important, as applications are checked closely. We prepare and file it for you.
Indian nationals with a valid UK visa or residence permit have been able to get a 14-day visa on arrival. In July 2026 the UAE announced that UK documents will be removed from this route, while US and EU documents still qualify. To avoid being refused boarding, we recommend a pre-arranged visa.
A 30-day UAE tourist visa costs around AED 300–350 (about £60–£70) in government fees, and a 60-day visa around AED 500–600. British citizens pay nothing on arrival. Fees can change, and our service fee is quoted separately before you pay.
Most UAE tourist visas are issued within 24–72 hours of a complete application. Some take longer during busy periods or if extra checks are needed, so apply at least a week before you fly where possible.
For urgent trips we file the same day we receive your complete documents. Many visas are then issued within 24 hours, but the decision is always made by the UAE authorities, so no one can guarantee an exact time.
Yes. A UAE tourist visa allows entry and travel across all seven emirates, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.
UAE border officers may ask visitors to show they can fund their stay. Travellers have been asked for around AED 3,000 in cash, a card or a bank balance, plus a return ticket and hotel booking. It is applied at the officer's discretion, so it is safest to carry proof.
