Spain Schengen Visa · UK
Securing a Spain Schengen visa in the UK can feel complicated because of high demand, seasonal bottlenecks and strict consular rules. Whether you are planning a trip to Barcelona, attending a corporate conference in Madrid or spending a holiday along the Costa del Sol, finding an open appointment at a BLS International centre takes constant vigilance. At GoSchengen UK visa services, we streamline the entire submission process for non-EU passport holders living in the UK, including Skilled Worker visa holders, university students, spouse visa holders, refugees and Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) residents.
Our slot-tracking system watches the BLS London, Manchester and Edinburgh calendars for new and cancelled appointments and alerts you, and our specialists manage your application for a Spain visa from the UK end to end, so that every detail lines up with Spanish consular requirements. We cannot create appointments or promise a date, because BLS releases them and the consulate decides.
GoSchengen is an independent service. We are not affiliated with BLS International or any Spanish embassy or consulate, and we cannot guarantee a visa.
Official appointment centres
Obtaining a Schengen visa for Spain requires an in-person appointment for biometric data collection at an official BLS International application centre. Because of heavy travel volume, standard slots often book out weeks or months in advance, especially for a BLS Spain visa appointment in London.
BLS releases cancelled appointments and new slot allocations at irregular intervals through the day. Our monitoring flags these openings quickly, and our fast-track appointment slots service alerts you so you can book the earliest slot available at the centre for your area.
We cannot create appointments or guarantee a date, and you can only book at the centre that covers your address.
During peak travel seasons, independent applicants often face weeks without an open slot. We manage your official BLS profile, your Spain visa application and your UK details, making sure personal credentials, passport validity and trip dates match consular expectations before your biometric date.

Spain only accepts your application at the centre that covers your home address. Booking the wrong centre is one of the quickest ways to lose an appointment, so we check your postcode before anything else.
See the jurisdiction rules below, or Contact Us and we will confirm your centre.
Visa requirements
If you hold a non-EU passport, such as an Indian, Pakistani, Turkish, Nigerian or other Asian or Middle Eastern passport, and you live in the UK, you must obtain a Spain visa for UK residents before you travel to Spain. Your UK residence permit does not replace it. The wider process is explained in how to get a Schengen visa in the UK.
Essential document checklist for a Schengen visa to Spain
As physical BRP cards move to online records, Spanish consulates need proof of ongoing legal UK residence. We help you generate and verify your active UKVI share code for consular presentation.
Spain asks for €122.10 per person for each day of travel, with a minimum of €1,098.90 per applicant whatever the length of the trip. You must submit 3 to 6 months of official UK bank statements showing a consistent pattern, not just a healthy closing balance.
A professionally drafted cover letter covering your travel purpose, day-by-day itinerary and return commitments to the UK, backed by flight and hotel reservations that cover the same dates.
A policy providing at least €30,000 of cover for emergency medical treatment, urgent hospitalisation and repatriation across all Schengen countries, valid for your full dates.
A passport issued within the last 10 years and valid for at least 3 months after you leave the Schengen Area, plus a recent 35 x 45 mm photo on a plain light background.
The completed and signed Spain visa application form, with details that match your passport, cover letter and supporting documents exactly.
The Spain visa for UK residents is the same process for every visa-required nationality: you apply through BLS, give biometrics in person, and the Spanish consulate decides. What differs is how closely the file is read. Consulates look hardest at three things: whether your funds match the daily amount for your trip, whether your ties to the UK are clear (job, course, family, tenancy), and whether your UK permission runs comfortably past your return.
How much money does Spain want to see?
| Trip | Calculation | Minimum to show |
|---|---|---|
| 7 days, one adult | Minimum applies | €1,098.90 |
| 10 days, one adult | 10 x €122.10 | €1,221 |
| 14 days, one adult | 14 x €122.10 | €1,709.40 |
| 10 days, couple | 2 x 10 x €122.10 | €2,442 |
Spain links this amount to the national minimum wage and updated it for 2026. Older pages still show 113.40 euros a day. Keep a margin above the minimum and confirm the current figure on the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

Jurisdiction rules
Submitting your application at the wrong centre can end in rejection at the counter. Spain's consulates in the UK work to strict geographical jurisdictions, set by the county where you live and not by which centre is closest or has the earliest slot. There is no simple north and south split, so check the official BLS list for your county.
Serves the area of the Consulate General of Spain in London, including Greater London and most of southern England.
Serves the area of the Consulate General of Spain in Manchester, including Greater Manchester and much of northern England.
Serves Scotland and Northern Ireland. According to the BLS Edinburgh page, it also covers some North East England counties: Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and the Tees Valley.
Counties near a boundary, such as those in Wales, the Midlands and Yorkshire, are where applicants most often choose the wrong centre. Our team checks your proof of address, such as a utility bill or official bank record, against the BLS jurisdiction list, so your file goes to the correct BLS International London Spain visa centre or regional centre in Manchester or Edinburgh.

Frequently asked questions
No. British citizens can visit Spain without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Our Spain Schengen visa UK service is for UK residents who hold non-EU passports that need a visa, such as Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Turkish and Nigerian passports.
Spain accepts a visa application only if your place of residence falls inside the consulate's jurisdiction, and BLS enforces this at the counter. If you book BLS London while your address belongs to Edinburgh, your file can be turned away and you lose the appointment. We check your address against the official BLS jurisdiction list before you book.
Spain's reference amount for 2026 is 122.10 euros per person per day, with a minimum of 1,098.90 euros per person whatever the length of the trip. Older pages still quote 113.40 euros a day and 1,020.60 euros, which were last year's figures. The amount is linked to the minimum wage, so confirm it on the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website before you apply. Show it through 3 to 6 months of UK bank statements.
The consular visa fee is 90 euros for adults and 45 euros for children aged 6 to 11, with no fee under 6. BLS adds its own service charge, and optional extras such as courier return cost more. Fees are non-refundable if the visa is refused.
Spain's legal period for a decision is 15 calendar days from the day after your application is lodged. Busy periods or extra checks can stretch that to 30 days, and in complex cases to 45. Processing is counted from your BLS appointment, so apply six to eight weeks before you travel, and earlier for Easter and summer.
We watch the BLS London, Manchester and Edinburgh calendars for new and cancelled appointments and alert you, and we help you prepare so you can take a slot the moment one appears. We cannot create appointments or promise a date, because BLS releases them and the consulate makes the decision. Any site that promises a guaranteed express Spain Schengen visa appointment is overselling.
Yes. A Schengen visa issued by Spain lets you travel across all 29 Schengen countries, provided Spain is your main destination, which means the country where you spend the most nights. If your time is split equally, apply to the country you enter first.
You can apply up to 6 months before you travel and no later than 15 days before. Applying early is sensible in spring and summer, because high demand and a longer Spain visa processing time in the UK both make late applications risky.
Spanish consular standards ask for UK permission that remains valid for at least 3 months after you leave the Schengen Area. If your permission is under renewal, keep your Home Office extension receipt and any UKVI letters with your application, and extend your status first if you can. A short validity makes a file harder to approve, and we cannot promise the outcome.
The refusal notice states the reasons and the appeal deadline. We analyse the letter, correct the document gaps and help you choose between an appeal and a fresh, carefully checked re-application, instead of resubmitting the same file.
